SUMMARY: Known for his competitiveness and clutch play, Jackson Emery is a quick player and solid defender with outstanding leaping ability. A good shooter from long range, he also has the athleticism and creativity to convert inside when going to the basket. He was a solid contributor as a freshman prior to leaving for a two-year Church mission. In 2008-09 as a sophomore, Emery started 32 of 33 games and was named to the MWC All-Defensive Team. He averaged 7.8 points, 3.8 rebounds and 3.0 assists while adding 49 steals. Emery helped BYU win a share of the MWC regular season title and a spot in the NCAA Tournament.
