BYU junior Daniel Summerhays continues to earn national attention after setting an NCAA record during the final round of the nation's top fall golf tournament, the PING Preview at the Golden Horseshoe Golf Club in Virginia. His amazing 10-under-par 60 shattered BYU records, broke Jack Nicklaus' course record 67 and tied three others as the only collegiate golfers to shoot a 60.

His final round included two bogeys and twelve birdies and has earned the praise of many in the golf community. Ron Balicki of Golfweek Magazine called Summerhays' final round one of "the best I've ever witnessed." He also described Summerhays as "one of the finest young men in collge golf."
