PROVO, Utah (Oct. 7, 2009) – Sophomores McCall Jones and Megan Price will represent BYU at the 2009 ITA Riviera Women’s All-American Championships. The No. 29 tandem was invited to the doubles main draw at the tournament and will begin play Thursday.

Jones and Price will begin competition against preseason No. 4 Andrea Remynse and Yasmin Schnack of UCLA. The Bruin duo defeated BYU’s Kristina Doerr and Romina Nedakovic 8-3 at last week’s Cal Nike Invitational before going on to win the doubles title.

No. 97 Jones was also chosen to represent BYU in singles action. She began competition in the qualifying draw Tuesday, losing a close three-set match to Baylor’s Nina Secerbegovic in the first round. She will not advance to the main draw, as players must win three matches to move on. Jones did compete in the consolation round later Tuesday where she defeated her Akron opponent 6-0, 6-2.

Matches are played at the Riviera Tennis Club in Pacific Palisades, Calif. For updated draws and results, click here.
